David Coupe

Managing Director

David has worked in the Transport and Haulage industry for 30 years. He has worked at all levels from multi-drop driver on 7.5 tonne vehicles, delivering both long and wide loads and a number of years of international deliveries. David is a full CPC holder, DSA registered LGV instructor and 1 of 7 senior SAFED instructors. David is married with 2 children and enjoys all aspects of family life. He is a keen rugby fan and still plays on a regular basis for Rochdale RUFC.

Rachael Scanlin

Director

Rachael joined the team in 2011 and has over 15 years’ experience within the Logistic Training Industry. She possesses a wealth of knowledge of the industries training requirements whilst also realising the operational constraints that the industry faces. She was involved in the initial ‘think tanks’ for the Driver CPC with the DSA and is a true advocate of driver development. Rachael is passionate about the need for equality within the industry and also the need to make the industry a viable career path for the younger generation. She is an active member of Woman in Logistics. Rachael is known for her ‘Girls in Gear’ campaign and her pink truck – and she is also the founder of the Little Truckers Club.

Suzanne Ogilvie

Training & Compliance Manager

Suzanne joined the Academy in 2012 and brought with her over 20 years of experience in Training, Health & Safety and People Management from her previous life working for a National Construction and Civil Engineering Company. Suzanne is married to an ex Royal Engineer and therefore fully understands the MOD way of life, which is one of the reasons that Suzanne ‘heads up’ our Resettlement Team. Suzanne is a friendly and approachable individual who brings a completely different dimension to both the team and the business.

Lee Stewart

Head of Teaching, Learning and Quality

Lee qualified as an Assessor in 2009 specialising in Warehouse & Storage and Performing Manufacturing Operations. Lee has a vast range of relevant qualifications which includes PTLLS, IAG, Cert in Environmental Health, Internal Quality Assurance and he is also an ITSSAR Instructor/Examiner. Lee joined the Academy in 2013. Lee worked for the Co-operative Bank in a variety of roles for over 25 years with the last 17 years as a Senior Manager in their Manufacturing department Lee is married with 2 children and enjoys family life he is also a keen motorcyclist and is an obsessive Manchester City supporter.

Sharron Sugden

Assessor/Trainer

Sharron joined Team TTA in 2014 with over 20 years’ experience working in the Logistic Industry in a variety of roles which include Warehouse Supervision and miles and miles as a Class One driver. Sharron is the proud mother of Sebastian and any spare time that she has is taken up with sport such as tennis and horse riding. She is also a spectator of F1 and stunt driving – and loves sports cars. Sharron is an avid Manchester City Football Club supporter.

Michele Sodano

Lead Assessor/Trainer

Mike (to his friends) joined the team in 2014 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience due to over 25 years working within the logistics training sector. Prior to this Mike was in the Automotive Industry. Mike is a passionate chef due to his Italian heritage and his Signature dish is Spaghetti Vongole. He enjoys spending time with his family which consists of 5 children and 2 grandchildren and in any spare time that he has left he enjoys playing amateur football and squash. Mike also dedicates his time to Cancer Research and so far his achievements are the Great Northern Run, 3 Peaks and the 24 Peaks Challenge. Mike supports and enjoys watching Napoli F.C. or Bury F.C.

Jonathan McNabb

Fork Lift Truck Instructor

Jonathan joined the team in 2014 after attending one of our courses. During the course Jonathan showed brilliant aptitude, understanding and empathy and because of this we wanted him as part of our team. Previously Jonathan has worked a Master Baker and a Fork Lift Truck Driver. In his spare time Jonathan enjoys visiting Scotland and holds a key which is a privilege of his Clan and entitles him access to a restricted island. Jonathan enjoys Motocross and off roading and he is the proud father of Tom and Ben. He also enjoys walking with his American Akita Dillon.

Ann Dennis

Office Manager

Ann joined the team in 2012 and brought with her a wealth of administration experience spanning over twenty years. She is a keen gardener and also enjoys the odd book and trips out to the cinema, but most of all Ann enjoys spending time with her grandsons Harvey and Blake.

Kerrie Boulton

Training Fleet Co-ordinator

Kerrie joined the Academy in 2013 and her main role is to support the Commercial Sales team. Kerrie also assists the Armed Forces Resettlement team during busy periods. Kerrie comes from a hairdressing and beauty background and has transferred her customer care skills in to her new career brilliantly. Kerrie is very much a people’s person and enjoys nothing more than meeting new people. Kerrie’s favourite pastime is shopping and she has a fetish of Handbags and Glad rags! She is also the proud ‘mummy’ of Trixie, Taz and Nellie her extremely pampered pooches.

Julie Ann Kirkham

Instructor

Julie joined the team in 2015 and as a highly experienced C+E driver brings with her a wealth of knowledge to pass on to her learners. She is a proud mum of four and in her spare time Julie enjoys the outdoors. Her pursuits include riding a motorbike, cycling and walking.

Georgia Keane

Business Support Co-ordinator

Georgia joined the team in May 2016 as our Business Support Co-Ordinator and she brings with her a vast amount of administration skills and experience as well as an in-depth knowledge of the Welfare to Work sector. Georgia and her partner Stuart are the doting parents of Luca. Any spare time they can ‘grab’ with a young baby is taken up with walks, meals and a quick catch up with their friends.

Simon Alexander Roberts

Instructor

Simon joined TTA in the Spring of 2016 as a LGV Instructor.  Simon served in the Armed Forces as a Combat infantryman for 7 years and gained numerous years of driving experience. Simon came to TTA for his resettlement training and made such an impression that he started full time with us on completion of his time with the Army.

Simon is an avid cook and he also enjoys going to the gym and playing football. He is a Bolton Wanders fan.

Stuart Fairhurst

Assessor/Trainer

Stuart is an experienced Assessor, FLT Instructor and Internal Verifier who joined Team TTA early in 2016. Stuart brings with him years of experience in instruction and assessing in the Warehouse and Storage sector and has developed and trained hundreds of individuals throughout his career – of which he is massively proud of.

In his spare time he is extremely energetic; spending time with his granddaughter, Harlow and the new addition to the family his Shar Pei, Spud. He also enjoys working on his allotment. When he is not energetic he likes a relaxing doze in front of the TV. His wise words are ‘is aging is an extraordinary process where you become the person you always should have been’.
