Licence acquisition for Category C1 C and C+E Vehicles |
| Aims & Objectives |
| To convert drivers in the knowledge and skills of the relevant categories, B+E, C1, C1+E, C, C+E and D1 (minibus), to the required standard of the Driving Standards Agency LGV Driving Test. A Theory and Hazard Perception test may have to be obtained before a Practical Test can be taken. This can be arranged if necessary. |
| Course Duration: Standard 20 hour or tailored by arrangement. |
| Instruction Method: In Cab. Instructor Ratio 1:1 or 2:1. |

LGV Driving Instructor - DSA Voluntary Register |
| Aims & Objective |
| To train suitable instructors to the standard required for entry into the Driving Standards Agency Voluntary Register. |
| Course Duration: 3 Days or 8 Days. To be determined at the 1 day assessment. For existing experienced instructors minimum 3 days. Experienced LGV drivers wishing to become instructors 8 days. |

| Holders of LGV licences C or C+E with more than 3 years experience. |

Note: Course members must produce a valid licence with LGV entitlement at course commencement. Final end testing to be carried out by DSA examiners. The tests of driving ability and instructional ability can be carried out on the same day or different days to suit the candidate. |

LGV Driving Instructor |

| To confirm ability to instruct potential LGV drivers to the RTITB standard. Success will lead to registration for a period of 5 years. |
| Course Duration: 8 Days. |
| Specification |
Applicants must hold a clean category C or C+E licence and have at least 3 years experience as a driver of that category of vehicle. |

LGV Driving Instructor Re Registration - RTITB Services |
| Aims & Objectives |
| On completion of the course, driving instructors should have confirmed their continued ability to provide instruction to potential LGV drivers to the standard of RTITB. |
| Specification |
| Applicants must be RTITB registered and practicing LGV driving instructors. Their start date for re registration training must normally be within the last 5 years registration. Exceptionally applicants can be accepted up to one year following the expiry of their previous registration. |

- Briefing for and participating in the final assessments.
Note: Course members must provide a valid category B licence and LGV driver licences at the beginning of the course. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to start training. |
