CPC Freight National/International Operations

Aims & Objectives
To be able to pass examinations set by OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA), leading to the Certificate of Professional Competence. This is required by EEC directive for admission to the occupation of Road Haulage Operators, as implemented by the Goods Vehicle Operators Regulations 1977.
Course Duration: 9 Days supported open learning.

ADR: Packages and Tankers

Aims & Objectives
To provide drivers with sufficient knowledge to operate safely with dangerous substances in packages and/or tankers, and to make them aware of current legislative requirements.
Course Duration: 5 Days. Packages only, 3 ½ days. Tankers only, 1 ½ days.
Instruction Method: Classroom
Specification
Drivers of small vans and large commercial vehicles who transport packages and/or tankers of dangerous substances in the course of their work.

Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Consultancy Service

Aims & Objectives
To provide a contracted consultancy service to companies engaged in the carriage or Dangerous Goods by Roads to enable them to comply with EU Directive 96/35EC.
Costs: £630.00 + VAT (up to 10 vehicles). Over 10 vehicles by negotiation.
Services Provided
  • Provision of annual report
  • Investigation and reporting of incidents/accidents.
  • Monitoring compliance with the rules governing Transport of Dangerous Goods as laid out in Schedule 2 of the above directive.
