TTA receives re-accreditation from both CILT(UK) and Matrix Standard.

TTA is delighted to announce that it has once again been awarded accreditation for both the Matrix Standardthe nationally recognised quality standard for any organisation that delivers information, advice and guidance on learning or work, and as a Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT (UK) Centre – the recognised professional body representing the Supply Chain, Transport and Logistics Industries worldwide.  We’re naturally proud to receive re-accreditation from such prestigious bodies, but also satisfied because we see the award as a testament that not only are we delivering high quality logistics training, but we’re also delivering it in the right way.

So, what exactly is CILT(UK) and Matrix Standard, and why is accreditation so important?

CILT(UK) is a membership organisation association for professionals involved in the movement of goods and people and their associated supply chains. First established in 1919, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK is a registered charity and part of the CILT international family with over 33,000 members in countries across the world. Its mission is to enable innovation, excellence and value creation for both individuals and corporate bodies by being the leading membership organisation and education provider within its professional community.

Why is membership such a big deal for TTA? Well, apart from giving us access to many more valuable resources, like Supply Chain Insight and the Knowledge Centre Information Service, membership and accreditation also means that we can successfully deliver the Management CPC – the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Managers in Road Haulage and Passenger Transport. Membership of CILT also reinforces TTA’s commitment to aspire to even greater levels of educational attainment, professional competence and continuing professional development. Through our membership of CILT we are able to offer an even better and more- comprehensive professional development training service, with packages tailored around the specific needs and requirements of both our individual clients and corporate customers.

Matrix Standard is the unique quality framework for the effective delivery of information, advice and/or guidance that supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals. The Standard promotes the delivery of high-quality information, advice and guidance by ensuring that organisations review and develop their services, and that they encourage the take-up of professionally-recognised qualifications and the continuous professional development of their staff.

The purpose of the matrix Standard is to provide a bench mark for Training Providers, Universities, Further/Higher Education Colleges, Schools and Academies, Sole Traders, Next Step Providers, Voluntary and Community organisations and private businesses to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals.

The Standard consists of four elements that organisations must adhere to when seeking accreditation: leadership and management, resource, service delivery and continuous quality improvement. Each element contains criteria which must be met in order to achieve the Standard. However, the Standard is flexible and non-prescriptive and allows organisations to provide a range of outcome-based evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of their services.
