TTA receives re-accreditation under ISO 9001:2015

Transport Training Academy isn’t just passionate about training; we’re also totally committed to the wellbeing of our logistics students: that’s why we support, embed and promote equality, diversity and safeguarding in every aspect of our training regime.  We also take compliance and quality management very seriously too, and endeavour to comply with all current ISO standards and keep up-to-date with all procedural changes that take place in this ever-evolving arena. So we’re delighted to announce that Transport Training Academy has once again passed its 2018 ISO audit with flying colours and received ISO 9001: 2015 re-accreditation.

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is a Quality Management Standard, designed for all organisations – large or small – which covers all sectors, including charities and the voluntary sector. It’s the world’s most popular ISO standard with over 1.1 million certifications issued. ISO 9001 aims to help organisations become more structured and efficient, and helps businesses meet legal and regulatory requirements which benefit the community, improve operational efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001 evaluates whether your Quality Management System is appropriate and effective, whilst obliging you to identify and implement a system of continuous improvement. These improvements assure:

  • your customers benefit by receiving products/services that meet their requirements
  • your business delivers consistent performance, and,
  • your organisation profits/ benefits due to increased job satisfaction, improved morale, and improved operational results by reducing waste and increasing efficiency.

The new ISO 9001:2015 Quality management Standard places a much greater emphasis on performance, and combines the process-approach with risk-based thinking, and employs the ‘Plan-Do-Check-Act’ cycle at all levels in the organisation. ISO 9001:2015 seamlessly integrates with other management standards and recognises and reflects how technology has driven increased expectations for both customers and businesses.

TTA is very pleased to have received ISO 9001:2015 re-accreditation once again. The re-accreditation proves that TTA’s efforts to adhere to this exacting standard have been recognised. Speaking about the re-accreditation, Transport Training Director, Rachael Scanlin-Davis, said the ISO endorsement was fantastic news for TTA and a fitting result after all the hard work and effort put in by the team:

“ISO is a quality system which we adhere to. We feel it is integral to the core of our operation. It provides members of our team, new and old, with a quality procedural framework to follow in all areas of our operation. As well as guidance, ISO 9001:2015 also gives clarity and provides standardisation.”

“TTA is extremely proud of our accreditation as ISO 9001:2015 is a well-recognised and widely respected quality kite mark worldwide.”
