TTA attends Veterans HQ in Liverpool in support of the Armed Forces Community

TTA director, Rachael Scanlin-Davis and Training and Compliance Manager, Suzanne Ogilvie, were delighted to visit Veterans HQ at Knowsley Hall, Liverpool, last week to offer support for the Armed Forces Community. TTA, one of the North West’s leading logistics training organisations, always welcomes the opportunity to attend and support each and every event which celebrates the service, bravery and commitment of our service personnel.

Veterans HQ provides support services for ex-Armed Forces Personnel across the region. Veterans HQ was born out of a programme of support for homeless men in the city and the need was identified to develop a joined up cohesive support programme for ex armed forces personnel, reservists and their families. Since its launch in June, 2012, Veterans HQ have been fundamental in driving the Veterans strategy forward in the City and the wider Liverpool City Region.

Veterans HQ was the first One-Stop shop in England and Wales to provide a single point of contact for all veteran’s needs.  Veterans, reservists and their families can gain access to employment support, education, training, housing support and health referrals. More recently, it has become a charity in its own right. Veterans HQ has proved to be such a successful model that its blueprint is being used by other Veteran Support Agencies across the country.

TTA are proud Silver Award holders of the DERS (Defence Employer Recognition Scheme) – a scheme which recognises the commitment and support from UK employers for Defence personnel, and rewards those employers who align their values with the Armed Forces’ covenant, and pledge, demonstrate or advocate their support for Defence and the Armed Forces Community.

TTA believes in our armed forces, reservists, and the wider forces community, and appreciates the many sacrifices that servicemen and women have made for the country. We have a deep and unswerving commitment to our defence personnel and have been providing support and resettlement training for ex-military personnel for a number of years, and will continue to offer this support through advice, guidance and training for the logistics industry at their transitional stage, as well as promoting the reservists to our commercial customers, for many years to come.
