The #Transform My Truck arts’ competition has now been extended!

TTA, one of the North West’s leading logistics training organisations, is excited to announce that the deadline for our art’s and logistics competition, #Transform My Truck, has been extended. Why’s that, you may wonder? Well, the simple reason is there’s been so much interest and enthusiasm shown by young people wanting to take part in the competition that we thought it only fair to give others the chance to participate and show us just how creative they can also be. The responses we’ve received from young people at schools we’ve visited across the North West have frankly been overwhelming. So, TTA is pleased to announce that the new deadline for the #Transform My Truck competition is now June 22nd.

So what is the #Transform My Truck competition?

Well, it’s an amazing arts competition which will hopefully inspire young people to think about what the logistics is all about. TTA wants young people to use their imaginations and talents to transform the side of a blank 7 metre rigid truck. What we’re asking pupils from schools across the North West to do is to use their creative skills to transform this blank canvas into a work of art by drawing or painting a design which shows the different forms of transport used to get goods from one location to another: that includes all forms of transport, from forklift trucks to airplanes and everything in between.

Who can enter the ‘#Transform My Truck’ competition?

The competition is open to all school children in the region. Two winning designs will be chosen: one from the age category Under 12 and the other from the 13 to 16 age range. The two winning artists will not only have the satisfaction of having their design proudly displayed on one side of our truck, but will also win a £100 Amazon voucher and a grant of up to £500 for their schools. TTA will also be offering runner-up prizes in both categories: £50 worth of Amazon vouchers and a £300 school grant for second places, and £30 worth of Amazon vouchers and a £200 school grant for third places.

During the campaign Transport Training Academy’s blank truck will be visiting schools in the region. We’ve already visited Blackburn, Burnley, Pendle, Chorley, Liverpool, Manchester, Whitefield and Prestwich. If you would like us to visit your school over the course of the next3 months, then simply contact us on, visit our Facebook page @TransformMyTruck or contact us on Twitter @TTAcademy1.  We’ll then make arrangements for one of our trucks to visit your school and give your pupils the chance to take part in an interactive workshop where they can learn more about the logistics sector and the varied career paths and opportunities within the industry.

The competition closing date is 11.59pm on Friday 22nd June. Judging will take place by 13th July and the winners will be announced on 16th July. The winning truck designs will be unveiled in September, 2018.
