TTA candidates perform fantastically well in the latest round of Road Haulage Management CPC results

TTA is delighted to announce that it has set a new record for the first-time pass rates in the latest round of CILT (UK) CPC for transport managers in road haulage. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our transport manager candidates for their sterling efforts and congratulate them on achieving such fantastic results.

So what exactly is the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for transport managers in road haulage? Well, it’s a qualification offered to candidates by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK), on behalf of the Department for Transport.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), is a prestigious global association which TTA is very proud to be a member of. With over 33,000 members working in over 100 countries, the CILT is the recognised professional body representing the Supply Chain, Transport and Logistics Industries worldwide. The Transport Managers’ Certificate of Professional Competence is the gold-standard for logistics management; that’s what makes our transport manager candidates’ achievements all-the-more remarkable.

The transport managers’ CPC qualification covers a broad range of subjects related to the business of road transport, and the ultimate objective of the qualification is for individuals to attain the strict competency requirements for a Transport Manager laid out in Regulation (EC) No. 1071/2009. Once a candidate has achieved the necessary standards to merit the certificate of professional competence, the holder of the qualification will then be qualified to perform effective and continuous management of undertakings engaged in road transport operations within any EU member state.

Who is the CPC for transport managers in road haulage qualification designed for? Well, the simple answer is anyone in the logistics industry with a willingness to learn and the motivation and drive to succeed. The qualification is accessible to everyone, and no prior knowledge, skills, understanding or qualifications are required.

Who will benefit most from the road haulage management CPC course? Well, any individual who wants to either enter the profession as a Transport Manager, or any existing employee who wants to demonstrate that their level of professional competence is sufficient to meet Operator Licensing requirements (holding a CPC is one of the elements an applicant must satisfy for the Transport Commissioner to grant an ‘O’ Licence).
