As most of our valued stakeholders and customers already know, Transport Training Academy is passionate about logistics and training. What’s more we’re totally committed to supporting, embedding and promoting equality, diversity and safeguarding in every part of our training. What many of our partners and customers probably don’t realise is that we’re also committed to sustainability and protecting our environment. That’s why from the first day of March TTA has made a commitment to ‘go green’.
So what’s this all about? Well, we made a commitment that from the start of the month all of our sales administration processes would have green credentials. We realised that by storing all our clients’ files online, we would be able to not only cut down on our paper and print usage, but also save ourselves valuable time. So we took the plunge, and in the space of just over two weeks we’ve managed to transfer 98 per cent of these files. We’re confident that it in a very short space of time all our client files will be stored online.
The good news is our green commitment doesn’t stop there. In June the second stage of our green implementation process will be rolled out. From that date all of our instructors will use a tablet to complete training paperwork, reducing our paper and print usage even further. Hopefully by the time we introduce part 2 of our green scheme later this year, any glitches and teething problems we may encounter will have been identified and ironed out, making the transition to online instructor paperwork seamless.
We all need to do our bit if we want to protect our environment and our planet. It’s our most valuable resource and is therefore worth fighting for. In the global struggle for sustainability we appreciate our efforts are more than likely just a drop in the ocean; but if all businesses make that same small commitment, our combined efforts can make a real difference.
