TTA Training Fleet Coordinator, Kerrie Boulton, set to study for the Level 3 qualification in Transport Office Management

The key to successful logistics training is passion and dedication, along with a commitment to support. That’s what we firmly believe, and that’s what we do. However, we don’t simply have a passion for the industry, we’re also passionate about the people who work in the industry. We want to inspire, develop and train individuals to achieve their learning aims, particularly our own team members.

So when our Training Fleet Coordinator, Kerrie Boulton, told us she wanted to learn more about planning, scheduling and transport office management, we were delighted. Kerrie, who has already successfully completed her Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Services, will begin her studies for the Level 3 qualification in Transport Office in March, and we know she will she will do brilliantly.

So what is the Traffic Office qualification? Well, it’s part of the apprenticeship framework and is designed for people already working in a traffic office within the industry who would like to develop the skills and knowledge required to prove competence at the standard required for their role. The qualification covers UK and International logistics and includes essentials such as: health and safety, managing the traffic office, planning routes, customer service, vehicle tracking and post journey reporting.

The Level 3 qualification in is designed to help individuals like Kerrie acquire skills in specific areas of logistics and transport to support career development.

Why does Kerrie want to carry on studying? Well, she simply wants to push herself and take on new challenges:

“I successfully completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service last year, and wanted to take on a new challenge. The course in total will take just over 12 months to complete and I will begin my qualification in March. I’m really looking forward to it. I’ll learn all about planning and scheduling and fleet maintenance. Hopefully the knowledge I’ll gain throughout the course will give me a better and more-rounded understanding of logistics office management.”
