TTA to train 2 new DGV apprentices for local firms, Shakespeare Transport Ltd and Galbraith (TS) Ltd

The future of the Logistics Industry depends on bringing through a new generation of enthusiastic, well-trained workers. Without new blood our industry would struggle to keep its head above water. But in order to ensure that young workers are prepared for a life in work, they need to be trained correctly and they need to be fully prepared. That’s where Transport Training Academy comes into the equation: we train young apprentices and prepare them for a life in logistics and endeavour to support, embed and promote equality and diversity and safeguarding in all our training.

That’s why we’re delighted to announce that over the course of the next few months TTA will be training two new DGV apprentices: Ashley Stoner and David Aldred. Ashley comes to us from Shakespeare Transport Ltd, which is part of the Matthew Kibble Group, a well-respected, locally- based international transport and distribution service provider. David joins us from Gilbraith (TS) Ltd, an established and well-respected transport and storage company based in Blackburn.

Speaking about the new DGV apprenticeship intake, Rachel Scanlin, TTA’s commercial business and development director, said:

“We’re delighted to be working in conjunction with Matthew Kibble and Gilbraith (TS) Ltd. They’re both prominent companies in the North West. They’re local companies with big reputations who share the same philosophy as Transport Training Academy. We each place great value on local services and supporting the local community, and we are passionate about developing youth to safeguard the future of the industry. We understand that the driving sector is facing significant problems in the short term, so it’s incumbent on local companies like ours to work together to train the next generation of apprentice drivers to safeguard the long-term future of the logistics industry.”

What can TTA offer your business? Well, TTA offers bespoke professional training packages tailored around the specific needs and requirements of our corporate customers.
