Summer news: what a difference a month makes

It may be summer, though you wouldn’t necessarily guess that if you look outside, but life in the Logistics Industry doesn’t shut down.

There are no summer breaks in this job: no jolly jaunts off to the seaside. Life remains just as busy as ever, and Transport Training Academy wouldn’t have it any other way. So what have we been up to during the last month?

Well, here are some of the things the team at TTA have been involved in during a busy July:

We attended the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) networking event in Liverpool.

Guests at the North West Armed Forces Business Award at the Imperial War Museum Manchester – a fantastic event with brilliant people and with the added bonus of a lovely meal.

The TTA team has been busy, busy, busy in preparation for the launch of our Burnley Office in August.

Meeting with Commercial Customers and JCP Offices in the East Lancashire area.
Attended an event hosted by the Institute of Employability Personnel I.E.P. – an organisation which TTA will be becoming members of.

Attended the Employment Task Force Meeting to address employment solutions in West Lancashire.

TTA have committed again to hosting a McMillan Coffee morning in September – something close to the heart of Team TTA.

Atherton Carnival: a great community day and a wonderful success for everyone involved.

TTA Apprentices undertook the first batch of Functional Skills through VTCT.

Last, but not least, Transport Training Academy had an ISO audit and passed with flying colours – so well done to all the team!

Will August prove to be any quieter? Well, we certainly hope not. With the Burnley launch, any chances of that happening are slim indeed!
