Transport Training Academy is Proud to be Taking Part in this Year’s Atherton Carnival.

The streets of Atherton will be a mass of colour as the Atherton Carnival parade makes its rounds of the town on Sunday June 21. The Carnival will be held at Meadowbank playing fields, Formby Avenue.

This year’s parade promises to be the biggest yet with over 500 people involved, including three walking bands, three different dance groups and even Elvis in his Cadillac. Two of TTA’s vehicles will also be taking part in the parade.

TTA is delighted to be involved in this year’s event.

The idea of the carnival is to bring all local partnerships together in helping to make an improvement in the community and bring positive attitudes Atherton. As an Atherton-based business we’re proud to be supporting our local community, and we will be making our Gloucester Street car park available free of charge should any spectators wish to park there.

The parade will start at 12pm on Gloucester Street exiting Meadowbank fields, and then travel along Gloucester Street up to Greendale where it takes a left onto Devonshire Road. It then travels along up to Dorset Road down to Carbank Street along to Formby Avenue and then back onto the Meadowbank playing fields.

After the parade, the fun continues back on Meadowbank playing with a fairground including carousel pony rides, zorb balls, and face painter stalls. The bulldog display team will also be performing their amazing acrobatic routine and there will be a display of musical performances, a vintage car show and football events.

TTA is really looking forward to the event and hope that you will be able to join us in celebrating all that’s good about Atherton.
