Transport Training Academy Trains Two New DGV Apprentices For Premier Biscuit Manufacturer, Farmhouse Biscuits.

TTA is pleased to announce that we will be undertaking the training of two new Logistics Apprentices for premier baker, Farmhouse Biscuits, as part of our Logistics Apprenticeship Programme.

We are delighted to work in Partnership with such a successful and respected brand, and look forward to training our latest recruits.

From modest beginnings in a farmhouse in Lancashire, Farmhouse Biscuits has since grown to become one of the country’s largest premier biscuit manufacturers, operating from a 200,000 square foot facility in Nelson, Lancashire, and employing up to 300 people. Although the business has grown dramatically, the determination to deliver the same high quality of traditional delicious biscuits still remains the same.

Farmhouse Biscuits is committed to developing local talent and Luke and Bradley Garnett will be learning all there is to know about driving and operating a lorry as well as the importance of customer service as part of their Apprenticeship level 2 Driving Goods Vehicles (DGV) qualification.

The new working partnership has been warmly welcomed by the trainers at Transport Training Academy.

Rachael Scanlin, TTA’s Commercial Business and Development Director, explained why Farmhouse Biscuits had chosen TTA in preference to other logistics training providers:

Farmhouse Biscuits is a highly respected name in the bakery industry and is one of the country’s premier biscuit manufacturers and supplies some of the country’s best known retailers, so obviously we are delighted to be working in Partnership with them. Farmhouse Biscuits and Transport Training Academy share a common ethos, and that’s a commitment to training and developing people within the industry.”

What can TTA offer your business?

Well, TTA offer bespoke professional training packages tailored around the specific needs and requirements of our corporate customers. This type of training we are able to offer can help to turn workers into valued employees, and give your organisation a positive return on investment.

Transport Training can offer individuals and companies access to fully or part-funded industry recognised QCFs (NVQ) and Apprenticeships in a variety of relevant areas for employees looking to gain extra qualifications and training within the sector whilst also formalising their skills and knowledge. Our logistics industry apprenticeships are primarily aimed at individuals without formal qualifications already working within the sector; however, we also try to work to fulfil a company’s employment needs by placing individuals who want to work within the industry and who are willing to develop and grow with the business in a variety of roles.

For more information about DGV apprenticeships, logistics apprenticeships or our extensive list of warehouse, storage and logistics training courses, call TTA’s training team on 0845 056 0561.
